Terms of Use

The fine print, kept short.

Last updated July 27, 2026

The short version: Picaroo is yours to use for making and sharing bouncing photos. The picaroos you make belong to you. Please use it kindly and legally, and know that it's provided as-is.

1. Accepting these terms

By downloading or using Picaroo (the “app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms are between you and Picaroo (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Your license to use Picaroo

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Picaroo on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app itself, except as permitted by law.

3. Your photos and picaroos

You own your content. The photos you choose and the picaroos you create with them remain entirely yours. Because Picaroo works on your device and never uploads your content to us, we claim no rights over it and we never see it.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use the photos you turn into picaroos — for example, that they're your own photos or that you have permission to use them, and that sharing them doesn't violate anyone else's rights.

4. Acceptable use

Please use Picaroo lawfully and respectfully. You agree not to use the app to create or share content that:

  • infringes anyone's copyright, privacy, or other rights;
  • is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or harmful;
  • depicts or exploits minors inappropriately; or
  • you don't have the right to use or share.

How you share a picaroo, and what you share, is your responsibility.

5. App store terms

You download Picaroo through the Apple App Store (and, in the future, other app stores). Your use is also subject to that store's terms. Apple and other app store operators are not responsible for the app or its content, and they are not parties to these terms — though where applicable they may benefit from them as third parties. Any questions, support requests, or claims about the app should come to us, not to the app store operator.

6. Picaroo Pro & subscriptions

Picaroo is free to use. Making picaroos is unlimited; the free tier allows seven shares per day, and picaroos you share carry a small Picaroo mark.

Picaroo Pro removes the daily share limit and the mark. It is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. The lifetime unlock is a single purchase and does not renew.

All purchases are processed by Apple, not by us — we never see your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms; we cannot issue them directly, though we're happy to help you get in touch with them. Previous purchases can be restored at any time from Settings in the app.

We may change Pro pricing or what each tier includes. Changes will not affect a subscription period you have already paid for, and the lifetime unlock will continue to include the Pro features it covered when you bought it.

7. No warranty

Picaroo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device. You use it at your own discretion.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Picaroo, including any loss of photos or picaroos. Since your content lives on your device, please keep your own backups of anything you'd be sad to lose.

9. Changes & contact

We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be reflected in the app or on this page. Continuing to use Picaroo after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Questions? Reach us at hello@picaroo.app. These terms are governed by the laws of [your state/country], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
